Relaxing in a prestigious environment		 La Chaussée is an ideal place to visit several castles in the Loire valley, but there are many other possibilities for relaxing activities. It is an excellent starting point for walking, cycling or horse-riding in the Forest of Chinon (thousands of acres of wood with deer, foxes, etc.) or in the lovely undulating fields and pastures. With three different rivers - Loire, Vienne, Indre - this area is a paradise for fishing.

Visit the local vineyard’s caves and taste the excellent Chinon wines.

There is an excellent golf course at 20 km from La Chaussée, in Ballan-Miré.

Centrally located in France, a stay in La Chaussée leaves you many possibilities to discover other beautiful regions of France: the Atlantic coast, Brittany, the Dordogne or the Massif Central are only a few hours drive away.
